Cookie Gift Box Packaging: Plan the Assortment Before the Artwork

Cookie gift box packaging starts with the assortment inside. Before choosing colors or a holiday message, decide how many cookies the customer receives and how those cookies will sit in the box.

Build the finished gift set

Arrange the actual cookies with their intended liners, wraps, dividers, or inserts. Include decorated pieces at their finished size. Measure the complete layout and check the height of any stacked layers.

If you sell several box sizes, define the assortment for each. “Small,” “medium,” and “large” are easier to price and pack when every version has a fixed count and arrangement.

Protect the presentation

  • Keep delicate decorations clear of the lid and adjacent pieces.
  • Check whether cookies move when the package is carried normally.
  • Test any dividers or inserts as part of the complete package.
  • Position a label or ribbon so staff can close the box consistently.

Ask the supplier which materials and components suit the intended food contact and handling conditions. A display box and a parcel shipping solution are different requirements; tell the team how the gift will reach the recipient.

Choose a design you can use

An everyday branded box can support several occasions, while a dated seasonal message may limit how long the stock remains useful. Compare the order quantity with realistic sales before committing to event-specific printing.

Photograph the tested assortment for your preorder page and give staff the same reference. Customers should receive the layout and count shown in the offer.

Start with W Packaging’s bakery packaging options, then review custom printing once the structure is settled.
